My photographs are a personal expression of who I am. I have been influenced by where I’ve lived… New York City, Florence Italy and Santa Fe New Mexico. My way of viewing the world is visual and I am inspired by textures, design and architectural elements and of course timeless beauty.
I began photographing as a young girl , even then I was fascinated with the concept of being able to capture a moment in time. My interest became serious as I studied photography at Parsons School of Design in New York. It became my passion and a way for me to express my impressions of life when my dream of living and studying in Florence became a reality in 1973. I began exhibiting my work there and Germany, and eventually in New York , Santa Fe and other locations. In 2014, 25 of my Florentine images became a permanent installation for the elegant hotel Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni in Florence. This has been a source of great personal pleasure for me to know my images reside in a beautiful Palazzo in my beloved city.
No matter what medium an artist works in I believe it is important to be authentic and to share our own personal visions.
My work has been collected internationally in private and public collections.
