FLORENTINE PHOTOGRAPHS
This collection of photographs of Florence are very special to me. It’s a place that has been close to my heart for 45 years , it was love at first sight. The images in this collection are some of my most beloved places to photograph…. Florence in all of her glory, The Arno River viewed from many views and vistas, the maze like and classical beauty of the Bardini and Boboli Gardens. My friend Antonio ‘s jewel of a hat store across from the Pitti Palace or nearby the former home of poets Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Robert Browning.
Just walking in Florence is inspirational and filled with endless opportunities to observe life in the small streets of the Oltrarno. I love capturing the stunning reflections in the windows or observing craftspeople creating their treasures. I have been photographing these fleeting moments of timeless Florence for many years and continue to be inspired.
